One Word June Writing Prompts - Lesson Pros

Hello Readers, the time is here for the June Writing Prompts! Each month, we have followed a different theme along with our daily one-word prompts.

For this month, I have two challenges for you. The first is to use each one of these words in one piece that you create. The order does not matter, nor does the type of writing that you do. You can use these words in a song, a poem, a blog, a short story, an essay, a journal, or any other form of writing.

A few modifications to this idea would be to start with five words. See how this works for you, and then add five more words to your paper. This will hopefully challenge you to think a little bit differently than you would normally.

Some of it may come easily to you once you have a good flow going. Once your creation is complete, I encourage you to share what you have come up with in the comment section.

My second challenge for you this month is to write about something that is going well in your life right now. Sometimes, it is easy to focus on the negatives in life, so it is nice to take a step back and appreciate the positives in our lives.

PRO TIP

• Instead of saying the simple fact, "That is interesting." Change it to being, "How interesting that is!" By this small contrast, we have taken something that is a flat affirmation to a clamor of excitement.
• We could write something like, "Adversity makes the mind stronger." However, if we were to change this to, "The triumphs and tribulations to come will expand the capacity of their brain tenfold, " this would paint a much deeper picture.
